What Causes Dizziness After A Rib Injury?

Hello I. 52 yrs healthy female. 2 weeks ago I fell down approx 15 hard wood stairs. I thought that I came out of it pretty good with just a rolled ankle, however 5 days later my right side lower rib area became increasingly worse with pain. Saw doctor he said I have fractured rib on lower right side . Also now I am experiencing servere dizziness. When I am in bed and not move just open my eyes , the whole room moves and when I get up it can make me sit down again as I would fall over if I tried to walk. These symptoms started after I saw my Dr. Is this caused from my fractured rib Thanks

Hello,

It is due to a minor contusion of ribs. Fracture is unlikely.

As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief.

If symptoms persist it is better to take a CT scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
