Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dizziness After A Severe Corneal Abrasion?
I have a severely scratched cornea over my pupil and have very limited vision in that eye. My eye doctor has me on a regiment and about to start steroids to help with the recovery. Forgot to ask him...is it normal to be dizzy and light headed with this condition?
After Corneal Abrasion patients do complain of lightheadedness, headache, light sensitivity, dizziness, blurry, decreased vision or nausea.
Such symptoms are due to the hurt, exposure to sunlight, sudden loss/blurry vision, discomfort in the eye & anxiety. This goes away in 24 -48 hours, don't worry & relax.
In case you are too uncomfortable with your symptoms you should report urgently to your treating doctor, you may need to be examined & treated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
