What Causes Dizziness After Cochlear Implant And Rhinoplasty?

Is it normal to experience dizziness after cochlear implant and rhinoplasty, in opposite ear. Surgery was 48 hrs ago, symptoms lessened today but fairly severe. No reply to message sent to surgeon. Patient is 85 yr old male with COPD, atrial fib, pulmonary hypertension. I don t feel comfortable giving OTC meds for dizziness without doctor s approval. I ll wait for a reply from surgeon on that but am wondering if this is a normal response and what the duration may be.
