What Causes Dizziness After Consuming Sugary Food?
I SEEM TO GET VERY DIZZY AND HAVE PRE SYNCOPES AFTER EATING REALLY SWEET THINGS I HAVE BEEN TESTED FOR MOSTLY EVERYTHING AND ALL HAVE BEEN ELIMINATED AS FAR AS DIABETES I HAVE HAD A REGULAR GLUCOSE AND A1C AND BOTH WERE NORMAL IS THERE ANY REASON WHY I SHOULD SUSPECT ANY OTHER TYPE OF DIABETES
Dear madam/sir i can understand your concern in my opinion the reason for feeling of dizzi might be due to low sugar which can be due to excessive insulin secretion. This condition is called as reactive hyperglycemia. This kind of condition is seen in very early stage of diabetes due to insulin resistance.
During this stage the regular blood sugar testing and hba1c will be normal or low sometimes.
its advisable to do extended GTT which might throw some light on diagnosis.
Excessive abdominal fat is the main reason to develop insulin resistance. but to confirm this diagnosis i need to look in to your physical profile like height and weight for further discussion. regards Dr vamsi Diabetologist
