What Causes Dizziness After Exposure To Sun?

I am experiencin an intolerance of hot weather. If I am out in the sun for more than 30 minutes, I suddenly start to feel faintness coming on. I then go so a spot where I can lie down so I won t injure myself. I experience some minor vomiting with this and a semi-loss of conscienciosness. When I have a really bad episode, I seem to feel like voices around me are beginning to fade and my vision might darken - although these symtoms don s last very long. If I can get to a cooler place, I seem to get better.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Exposure to Sun causes a sudden increase in body heat/vasodilatation & fall in blood pressure leading to dizziness.

Sitting/lying In normal temperature & drinking a glass of lemon water with salt &sugar would help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
