What Causes Dizziness After Inhaling Helium Fumes?
When you register a 4.6 alcohol content and you decided to inhale helium, from a tank at a party to have a few more laughs, then you start dancing and then you suddenly feel dizzy and then even though never passing out you get to where you don t know anyone or yourself as far as that matter goes, belligerent and out of control for 4-5 hours until falling to sleep. Is there chance the helium had a major part of these actions or just the alcohol?
Dizziness after inhaling helium fumes occurs as it contains polyurethane which is toxic. There are several harmful substances such as volatile organic compounds, known as VOCs, which are cause loss blood pressure which leads to dizziness. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take acetaminophen and wash face properly with plenty of water and keep on inhaling fresh air. Drink plenty of water. Steam inhalation and nasal saline rinses will be beneficial for you. If any symptoms occurs consult doctor without any delay and get complete examination done and start treatment accordingly because condition sometimes become complicated.
Hope your concern has been resolved. Dr. Harry Maheshwari
