What Causes Dizziness After Receiving A Vivitrol Shot?

I have a question about the vivatrol shot. I am so sick from it still. Its been three weeks. I feel so dizzy. It gets worse two hours after I wake up. And at night I constantly feel like I am you g to throw up. My hands are constantly freezing while my body feels like 100degrees at all times and I m on the tiny figure side. I m so tired and moody. If I was to smoke a cigarette I would throw up literally. How long will this last for. And the shot in my upper butt still has an implant feeling of a golf ball. It hurts if I sit the wrong way. I hate this shot. It makes me hate going to work because I feel so sick and I can t focus. I can I get rid of this feeling?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dizziness and nausea are very common side effects of Vivirol (Naltrexone). For the pain at injection site I would suggest visiting your doctor as its been more than three weeks now. But remember your doctor prescribed this medicine because he/she knew that the benefits outweigh any possible side effects. So stay strong.
