What Causes Dizziness After Splint Therapy For Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome?
Hi!I've been experiencing dizziness after installing my mouth splint due to TMJ.Im very anxious of everything.I feel dizzy when I keep on thinking that I'll get dizzy. The more I think of it the more I get dizzy and have a feeling that I want to throw up☹
Well, splints are not commonly seen to cause the symptoms of dizziness, however if you are given any medicines like Muscle relaxants and painkillers along then it can be a side effect of the medication..
Yes, it is true that too much anxiety and continuously focusing of the same can cause psychological exaggeration of the symptoms..
So to be comfortable and ease of the symptoms it is better to consult your treating Dentist and discuss about your symptoms so that he can check for he probable cause and advise you accordingly..
As of now if there are continuous episodes of being dizzy, you can avoid driving or operating any machines to avoid any accidents.. Avoid going out alone..
Hope this helps.
Regards..
