What Causes Dizziness After Stitching A Deep Cut On Hairline?

My 12 yr old son was riding his scooter without a helmet and fell as he was going down a hill very fast. He has a deep cut on his hairline on the front older of his head. The doctors stitches it up but did not do a cat scan. When we got home he said he feels dizzy. Should I take him back to the ER or let him sleep and see how he feels in the morning.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Unless the child starts vomiting, it is alright. Let him sleep for 7-8 hrs and if he is still complaining then you may need an MRI to rule out severity. If the child starts vomiting, take him to the ER immediately. In the future, make sure he uses a helmet.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
