Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking Dicyclomine (20 mg) for 20+ years for IBS. It was prescribed to take 3 per day; however I always just took one per day. Never had a problem. When I called in for a refill, my doctor s office called in a refill for 10 mg. In the meantime I received a letter from my insurance company, (Blue Advantage - BC/BS) that this medication would no longer be covered under my plan. They went on to say it was not recommended for older adults, I am 75. I quit taking the medication, Since then I am very dizzy. Could quitting the med cold turkey be causing the dizziness?
