My son takes Chlonidine. He is taking finals and hasn't slept. He normally takes 2 .1mg of chlonidine but took more because he hasn't slept. He has taken 10 .1mg in the past 24hours ( 8 of the 10 were in the past 8 hours). What should he do? He feels a little dizzy. He is 19 years old and weighs 135 pds.
Hello Clonidine is not recomended for sleep, and reduces blood pressure- causing dizziness...so, it is taken at night preffrably and low dose is given in daytime. For sleep one can take zolpidem 5mg or 10mg. It is a short sleep inducer and taken by students durig exams. Hope this helps
