What Causes Dizziness After Taking Cymbalta?

I have been taking 60 mg of cymbalta 2x a day. can it make me feel really off balance? Not passing out dizzy but falling over! Also my fingers are trembly if I try to use my fine motor skills, like putting earrings in. So, the last 3 days I stopped taking the morning dose. I kind of feel weirder now.

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello!

I understand your concern and would explain that your symptoms could be related to Cymbalta adverse effects, considering the fact that you are taking the maximal daily dose. But, it would not be a good idea to stop it abruptly, as it may lead to a withdrawal syndrome.

For this reason, I would recommend you to gradually reduce the dose until you tolerate it well. If the dizziness persists despite reducing the dose, I would recommend consulting with a neurologist for a physical exam and some tests.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
