What Causes Dizziness After Taking Donepezil HCL?

I started taking the Donepezil HCL 5 mg once a day and became very dizzy and started throwing up and having diarrhea. Just stopped using it and will see the doctor tomorrow if possible. Is this reaction common? I am 91 years old! I have a doctor s appointment tomorrow. Thnak you anyhow.

Hello dear. Welcome to Healthcaremagic. I read your query and I understand your concern. This are all side effects of donepezil. It may interact with many drugs; tell the physician if you have a history of breathing problems, heart disease, fainting, seizures, GI diseases or urinary problems because they may get worst with this drug.
