What Causes Dizziness After Turning The Head To The Left Side?

I woke up yesterday morning, turned my head to the left, room started to feel like it was spinning. My head feels like it wants to get dizzy when I stand or bend down. I have no earache or cold or sinus. I feel healthy other than my head feeling like its in a fog, sorta all day. room doesn t feel like spinning all day, just when I go to roll on my left side in am. I take over the counter calcium an vit d pills daily, 600 mg, recently I was told to increase dosage to 1200, could that be affecting me like this? I need my head out of the fog feeling an no morning spinning feeling again. What could be the problem and how long will this feeling hang around and what can I do at home to help make it go away? What do you feel might be causing this?
