What Causes Dizziness After Weaning Off Of Pristiq?

Taking 175 mg of Wellbutrin and weaning myself off of Pristiq. Well taking Pristiq I had absolutely no energy at all. Weaned myself down from 150 mg a Pristiq. Once I stopped taking a quarter of a 25 mg Pristiq 3 days ago, I started feeling really dizzy and lightheaded. I started Pristiq again yesterday thinking that was the issue but I m still really dizzy. The weird part is I wake up in the morning feeling fine and about two hours later I start feeling the symptoms. I had a gastric bypass 15 years ago. I wonder if that plays any part.

Hello,

You don't reduce the dose of antidepressants abruptly.

Probably you may be suffering from weaning symptoms. You have to de wean over a period of weeks to months.

Reduce the dose of 25% over a period of 2-3 weeks. If you developed again any withdrawal symptoms then consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
