What Causes Dizziness Along With Headaches Based On This MRI Report?

My husband just had a MRI with this impression:

A 12 x 6 mm T2/FLAIR hypointense lesion without hemorrhage in the left frontal periventricular deep white matter and centrum semivowel, non specific. Brain MRI without and with contrast in recommended for further evaluation.

No acute intracranial event.

They did this because he has been dizzy and having headaches.

He is awaiting a referral to a Neurologist but we are worried and I so wish I could help him not to be so scared.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
As per the MRI report it indicates that there could be some infarct in the area described above.
Infarct means the area formed due to decrease blood supply to the brain could be due to some obstruction in the vessel supply the part of brain.
and contrast based mRI evaluation is best in case of doubts.
So i would advise such a patient coming to me to do the same test for confirmation.
And no need to worry as blood thinning agents can cure it easily.
Thanks and regards.
Hope i answered your queries.
