What Causes Dizziness Along With Nausea And Diarrhea?

My wife is female, 65 and thin. Coming back from a restaurant within an hour she was dizzy, naseaous nd had diarrhea. She is still feeling bad, with diarrhea and weakness. I am pretty sure there was some form of food poisoning. The restaurant was Mexican- she had some chips with salsa (I had that, as well) and chicken taco s with a green sauce. There was fried ice cream for desert. She drank 2 Margherita s with the meal. My question is what is the best thing to do for her now? email is: YYYY@YYYY .

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thank you for trusting HealthcareMagic for

Her symptoms are suggestive of Acute viral Gastroenteritis. Drink plenty of fluids. Include fluids containing electrolytes like Gatorade.
Include fluid diet like soup. When she starts feeling better follow BRAT (Banana, Rice, Apple Sauce and Toast) diet.
The symptoms will subside in about a week.

Hope this answers your question
