Recently I have had head rushes, feeling dizzy and slightly nauseous. I have had 4 years of stress since our autistic son left home. He is fine now but his father now has cancer. I think the symptoms are all related to stress. I am reading a book about George VI and just now was reading about the dire situation in 1942. 5 at the time I was not aware of how bad things were. Could this have triggered one of my head rushes. They do not occur very often.

Apart from psychological stress. Reading a book can give strain to eyes & this can cause your symptoms. Please get your eye right checked & corrected if needful.
