What Causes Dizziness Along With Rapid Eye Movements?

Wednesday morning, as I tried to get out of bed, the room started spinning like when you have had to much to drink. But also rapid movements in my eyes. Could not sit up for about 60 seconds. Really scared me. Since have had a couple bouts of loss of balance and one splitting headache, pain at the back of my neck into upper shoulders. Heat sensations through some muscle tissue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The most likely cause could be sudden hypotension.

Cervical spondylitis can cause such symptoms.

Vertigo could be another cause.

Thyroid hormone levels also need to be checked for to rule out hypothyroidism.

Investigations can bring us to an appropriate diagnosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. TALARI PAUL,
