What Causes Dizziness Along With Tingling In Teeth Post Trauma?
My 8 year old grandson tripped and hit the left side of his head about 4:30 pm. He has a gooseegg sized bump, at time he fell he was at school function and said he was dizzy, felt like throwing up but didn't. His pupils are dialated and says his left side and bottom teeth feel tingly, should I take him to ER
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that due to fall and getting hit over the head he has suffered from Concussion leading to head injury and dizziness and tingling on left side of body along with tingling of teeth is an indication of nerve related injury or brain related injury..
You need to consult an Emergency room or a Neurologist and get evaluated and thorough clinical evaluation and x ray or MRI Scan can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly. You can also do cool compresses over the bump that is formed over the head and can also give him Ibuprofen to relieve pain.. You should also not delay in consulting a specialist and in case of brain injury it can lead to increase in severity of symptoms and can become fatal..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
