General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Since the opthalmologist (eye doctor) discovered an area of concern behind the eye, it would be best to continue seeing one of these specialists for follow up and management.

Damage to the eye can sometimes occur if there is a history of high blood pressure or diabetes so these can also be ruled out as well by a visit to your general physician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James,
