Hello,
You are experiencing
dizziness and breathlessness after taking medications for thyroid and arthritis. The medication
levothyroxine can sometimes cause dizziness and
blurred vision. Taking medications for thyroid has side effects and many risks like anxiety, diarrhea,
depression, elevated heartbeat, elevated blood pressure, fatigue, irritability, difficulty concentrating, difficulty sleeping, being overheated, and unprompted or unintentional
weight loss.
Since you are experiencing dizziness and fatigue you are suggested to report your symptoms to your treating doctor so that repeat tests and investigations can be done and medications that suits you better can be given. Arthritis medications also taken for a long period may present with many side effects. Inform your treating doctor.
You are suggested to get clinically examined by a GP, get lung function tests, lipid function tests blood tests, etc., done to detect any lung or heart ailment that is causing you breathlessness. If obese lose weight. Stay away from addictions if any, smoking, alcohol, drugs, etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
