Short answer: We need more information
Long answer:
Hi there,
To answer your question, I need more information to have an idea of who you are and your health risks. To make a good conclusion, we need to take into consideration many factors about you and your health, because symptoms such as yours can happen in something as major as an impending
heart attack, or an anxiety episode, or something as simple as
acid reflux.
It makes a big difference to me whether you are a fit young adult with no health problems undergoing a stressful event, or a sedentary older person with
high blood pressure,
diabetes, and who smokes 20 cigarettes a day.
Things I would like to know:
1. Your age and gender
2. General health status- your weight, whether you smoke, exercise
3. Background health problems - any high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol
4. Inherited risks - Any family members with heart problems, sudden deaths at a young age, anxiety problem
5. Other symptoms like
heartburn, burping, palpitations, shortness of breath
Get back to us with the information, and I would be glad to help you better.
Regards,
Dr. Teh
