What Causes Dizziness And Dryness In Mouth While On Propranolol And Tryptomer?
i m suffering from migraine pain since 2012, taking several medication for migraine but these medicines having side effect of drowsiness and dizziness. now taking tryptomer 10 mg for 7 days then followed by typromer 25. now feeling dizziness and dry mouth. also taking propranolol and during attack having suminat 25. kindly suggest some other alternative medication without side effect.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms Dry mouth and dizziness are common side effect of Amitryptiline (typtomer) which is an anti-depressant while propranolol and suminat can cause dizziness but Dry mouth is less commonly seen..
I would suggest you to consult your treating physician and get evaluated and if possible he can reduce the dose of typtomer and hopefully you might feel better..
Other Medication needs to be altered or changed if altering the dose of typtomer does not resolve the problem..
As for now you can chew sugar free chewing gums as it helps in stimulating saliva flow.. Artificial salivary drops are also available with pharmacist and can be instilled in mouth for relief..
Hope this information helps..
