What Causes Dizziness And Excessive Tiredness After Walking?
I had a episode this afternoon while walking where I felt light headed. I finished the walk, but felt slightly weak. I thought it may be low blood sugar, but after having some water and a piece of chocolate, I still felt extremely tired. After resting for about 30 minutes, I m still feeling tired.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. Dizziness and excessive tiredness could happen due to following reasons: 1. Hypoglycemia (decreased blood glucose levels) - this happens more commonly in diabetics. You can get you blood glucose levels checked instantly by means of glucometer instrument to know the status of blood glucose levels. 2. Decreased blood supply to the peripheral tissues due to dysfunction of the heart due to ischaemia. You need to rule out this by getting an ECG and Echocardiogram investigation done. 3. Decreased oxygen supply to peripheral tissues due to anaemia. It can be ruled out by getting hemoglobin tested in blood. Depending on the cause, you need to be treated accordingly. Kindly consult Physician for further evaluation and management. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
