I have had hissing sound in my ears for 20 years In the last 6 years I have become very sensitive to motor sounds. I can hear them when others can t. It is as if my ears are amplifying the sounds. At times the sounds also create inner vibrations in various parts of my body. When not extreme, I can reduce the effec by wearing industrial mufflers like workers use when repairing sidewalks. In the last few weeks I have a low rolling thunder sound. My upstairs neighbor uses a massage bed and massage chair. Over the years I have lived here I have heard the sound but now it is bothering me. The sound and my inner vibrations make it difficult to sleep. I can hear the massage motor the instant it goes on, and the instant it is turned off hours later. The muffler reduces the upstairs massage sound, and the rolling thunder, but not the hissing. To sum, there are three different sound catagories. 1 - hissing 2 - the upstairs massage motor ( which is amplified in my ear and only I can hear) 3 - the new rolling thunder sound Thank you so much for your advice
