Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I"m having a weak and slightly dizzy and faint feeling. I took my blood pressure and it is very low. It is 84/48- pulse very weak- about 52. What would you suggest? I had a similar episode about two weeks ago and laid down to rest a bit. It went away, but now has occured again?
Hi, thank you for asking Healthcare Magic. With this presentation, I would think that I might be having a problem related to the heart. May be the heart is not beating regularly or something is preventing it from pumping blood normally. In my opinion, I would suggest you see a cardiologist for proper assessment and management.
I hope that answers your query. If you have more questions or any follow up query do not hesitate to write to us. I wish you well
Low blood pressure and feeling of faint is often caused by dehydration. This occurs when we do not drink enough water or loose it in excessive volumes like profuse sweating during exercises. If this be the case with you, I will suggest that you drink enough. However, if this seems totally unrelated, I will recommend that you seek medical consultation for evaluation of the heart.
I hope this helps. I wish you well.
