What Causes Dizziness And Fainting Along With Weakness In The Legs?

I just had a weird thing happen. I was really tired so I took a nap for about 30 minutes. When I woke up I thought I d go to the kitchen and get a sack. I stood up and immediately felt light headed and things looked fuzzy. I walked into the kitchen and almost fainted. The room was spinning. My legs were weak. Next ting I know I was on the floor. Felt like throwing up and I felt clammy. I laid there for a while and things subsided. Now I have the chills and feel weak but better. What do you think happened to me?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.
We have to rule out possible causes like peripheral neuropathy and stroke.

Detailed evaluation including nerve conduction and MRI are required for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
