What Causes Dizziness And Fatigue In An Elderly Woman?

I have just learned that my 79 year old mother is having dizziness. My sister just visited her and she has been very tired for the past few days, was a bit dizzy yesterday and was dizzy today and stumbled a bit when trying to pick her little dog up. Her eyes were watery as well. Her family has a history of heart attacks and she is supposed to be on a cholestoral med, but dont believe she is taking it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think she should check her total blood count and biochemical blood balance. She may be suffering from iron deficiency anemia which may be a cause.

Another possibility is Hypothyroidism. The watery eye she is experiencing may be related to allergy such as allergic cogniuctivitis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
