What Causes Dizziness And Fatigue?

Hello, I woke up today with a slight sore throat, while laying down I feel for the most part fine but the second I arch my head forward, sit up or stand I get so dizzy that I feel as tho I m gonna faint, in 22 years old and eat very healthy while maintaining good excercise. My gf had the flu a week ago and it s barely getting better and I m wondering if I had maybe caught it, and what I can do to be able to avoid the dizziness at least for today (Valentines Day)

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,Your symptoms are suggestive of positional vertigo which can manifest due to several causes. Most common among them being Anemia ,Ear infections predisposed by upper respiratory tract infections which is likely in your case. You can take a short course of antibiotics and you should be fine. You must not make sudden head movements which may lead to vertigo. Its necessary to take some precautions like washing hands and keeping reasonable distance to avoid contact from others having upper respiratory tract infections. If symptoms persist inspite of all the measures taken, its always better to see an ENT specialist,he will be able to perform necessary tests to know the cause of your symptoms.Hope my advise was hepful to you. Will be happy to answer if you have any further questions.
