What Causes Dizziness And Headache After A Dilation And Curettage Procedure?

I had a d& c last Saturday, so 5/6 days ago, which they used general anesthesia instead of just propofol like they did last time. I have had a headache that will not go away since Sunday and I have been feeling dizzy, uneasy and occasionally nauseas as well. Could these all be side effects from the surgery? I am most worried about the headache.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, you need to have baseline blood work up to rule out any signs of anemia or low hemoglobin.

That is one possibility with other beng post propofol side effects. OTC analgesics like acetaminophen or Ibuprofen along with good water intake may help.
