What Causes Dizziness And Heart Palpitations When Diagnosed With Hyperkalemia?

I went in for my yearly checkup and the blood work came back saying my protassium is high. the Dr. ordered another test ,same result. I have been on this med for at least twenty-five years. Now I m having some dizziness, ,heart beating fast. I m taking 50mgs. twice a day. What is wrong?

It could be an arrhythmia. Consult a cardiologist and get evaluated. Detailed evaluation is required including serial ECG to make a diagnosis.
