I am a diabetic and would love to havefor morning breakfast, a bran muffin &coffee. The Bran muffin raises my blood reading very high. I figure if I consumestrictly protein, I will avoid. this Problem. What do you suggest? I am thinking that the sausage /egg breakfast is causing me to be more dizzy.

Hello,

You have history of getting stroke three years ago. You also have history of vestibular damage. You are suggested to take different morning breakfast everyday so that you get a variety of nutrition and your system remains balanced. You can take eggs & sausage one day, porridge, nuts and fruits the next day, salad-toast-berries with coffee the other day and so on. Keep changing breakfast & also the other meals.

You should always maintain a normal blood pressure and blood glucose level at all cost, no chewing or smoking tobacco, get a routine cardiac check up done to rule out any developing CAD. This is to stay on the safer side. Dizziness may be a warning sign of stroke, avoid addictions if any. Dizziness may be triggered by hypertension and vestibular neuritis and cause Vertigo, making you uncomfortable with spinning and swaying sensation.

Get clinically examined by an ENT, you may be recommended to do an audiometry and few other tests to detect vertigo, you will be treated accordingly. Do not do heavy work and avoid driving any vehicle for a couple of days. Stay well hydrated and properly nourished. Take adequate sleep and rest. Avoid stress and anxiety. Cut on carbs, trans fat, full fat dairy products, spicy or oily food. Packaged and frozen food should be avoided. Take fresh food. Stay active and cheerful.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
