What Causes Dizziness And Muscle Ache While On Minocycline?

I have been on minocycline for 3 weeks on Monday for rosacea that was really bad on my face. I have had mild lightheadedness but can live with that and this coupled with not sleeping well might be the reason for feeling tired and some muscle aches. Today I have felt that it is a bit difficult or maybe just exhausting to take deep breaths - should I be concerned or make an appointment to see my doctor or wait to see if this changes? I am to be on this for 8 weeks.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the dizziness and muscle ache are part of the side effects of the drug Minocycline and the same should be discussed with your treating consultant. Till that time, plenty of liquids and magnesium supplements will help better.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Purva Patel, General & Family Physician
