Hello Whenever such type of symptoms present ( burning sensation or pain during deglutition) may be due to these possibilities , these includes. 1 Esophagitis or inflammation of esophagus or food type . Reason may be hyper acidity or irritant food that caused inflammation .Diagnosis can be confirmed by esophagoscopy . 2 Hyper acidity or acute gastritis is another reason of such burning or painful sensation. G I endoscopy is helpful for diagnosis . 3 Allergy or reaction to any food material during previous occasion. When such cases visit in my clinic I advise them take some antacid ( the best having local anesthetic in it as oxetacaine ) 4-5 times in day. If no relief take proton pump inhibitors like pantoprazole-d once or twice in day for 3-4 days. Avoid oily, fried food till cure. Good luck.
