What Causes Dizziness And Nausea After Suffering From Transient Ischemic Attack?

I had a tia last October and still I have days when I am so dizzy I feel nauseous. I m not sure if this is related? They found a hole in my heart.... I still get daily headaches and can only drive 50 mins now and then get a massive headache and need to close my eyes for awhile. I still have 20 mins shut eyes at lunch and it usually get me through the day. I m just concerned, that I still feel not well a year later. My right side still goes weak feeling when I am tired..... Is this normal? Other issues..... I ve had a sore back for 9 years now, that comes and goes. I feel pain in my chest that comes and goes for a few years. My mom died at 51 of heart attack and brother at age 38 of heart attack. I used to smoke, but quit 10 years ago now. Any suggestion of anything I should be tested for?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

After going through your query let me advise you for your blood pressure monitoring.

It should be within the normal range. You should check it out. Second thing check your cholesterol levels. it should be also within normal limits.

Daily 30 min physical exercise is necessary. The strong family history of attack makes you susceptible to that. but you should be alert. Reduce intake of fat.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nirav Nimavat, General & Family Physician
