Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dizziness And Nausea After Taking Norvasc?
I have been taking Norvasc for blood pressure for about three weeks and have had three episodes of dizziness and nausea. Each time the effect is not as severe or prolonged. Is this possibly from this medication and should these effects lessen as my body adjusts to this new drug.
Basically, every anti-hypertensive medicine, i.e., Norvasc leads to nausea and dizziness because either blood pressure falls sharply or due to ingredients of medicine itself though there are many other options to change the drug if Norvasc doesn't feel comfortable to you, otherwise it's fine and gradually you may be adaptive to drugs and your body will not react.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Nirav Nimavat
