What Causes Dizziness And Nausea After Withdrawing Omeprazole And Cymbalta?

I take Cymbalta 60mg, Evista 60mg, Omeprazole 20mg, and a few otc vitimans and supplements. I left my meds at home when we left for vacation on Friday, by Saturday mid day I had lightheadedness, nausea, sweating and dizziness. Could you tell me which if any of the meds would cause these withdrawal symptoms? I am home now,but don't know wheather to go back on these medications. It is Thursday and I am still experiencing the symptons.

Hello thanks for choosing HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Cymbalta is Duloxetine and the drug is a SNRI drug, Evita is Raloxifen and Omeprazole is a PPI drug. Out of these drugs Cymbalta cause changes at receptor levels and thus help to increase the serotonin and nor-adrenaline neurotransmission in brain. Abrupt stoppage of this drug can cause withdrawal symptoms in from of nausea, insomnia, restlessness, anxiety, dizziness etc. So the symptoms you had on stopping the drug were probably due to withdrawal from Cymbalta. If you have medicines then in my opinion you should start the drugs as per your prescription again. If symptoms persist report to your doctor.

Thanks, Hope this helps you. Take care
