What Causes Dizziness And Nausea Along With Difficulty In Walking?

my spouse is having trouble walking. If he stands up or even sits up he gets dizzy and nauseated. He tried to walk but is way to wobbly. they have checked his heart all is fine, mri on brain showed no abnormalities. He does suffer from hypothyroidism. His tsh was 48. He did have back surgery where they fused his l3.l4 and l5 vertebrae. He works in the meat department at Walmart and does a lot of lifting things but we are at a loss as to what is wrong. any suggestions?

Hello,Thanks for the query.
Feeling dizzy & nauseating feeling could be due to vertigo (meniere's disease) or any other problem affecting the vestibular part of the ear. So it is better to get a proper ENT examination done. As regards hypothyroidism it is essential to have strict control of hypothyroidism with TSH maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L. Otherwise uncontrolled hypothyroidism can also contribute to existing problems. Also get the blood glucose checked. Thanks.
