Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Dizziness And Nausea Post An Head Injury?
My 16 yr old daughters head was smacked into the ground during her soccer game. She never lost consciousness. She was immediately very dizzy. She never threw up but felt mild, brief nausea. How should we care for her at home? We have been icing her head and neck since the incident (an hour ago) and we have her laying flat in a dark bedroom.
The symptoms are commonly related to head trauma. If the symptoms continue for more than 24 hours I suggest going to the emergency room for further evaluation. Meanwhile, I suggest the rest.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
