What Causes Dizziness And Nausea While Suffering From Diabetes?
I am a diabetic 2 and I have been fine but beginning Friday morning I woke up and started to get up and was extremely lightheaded and dizzy. Stayed that way all day. Every time I got up or turned over in bed a wave of dizziness hit me and made me so nauseous I thought I would throw up. It has pretty much stayed that way for three days now. Never experienced this before so not sure what to think. I have been told it could be an ear infection but I have no pain at all. Should I go see my doctor tomorrow?
You need not worry, I would like to know if you are getting any ringing sensation in the ear, and if any time you had fever a few days back.
The problem which you are getting may be due to BPPV, which is an inner ear disorder, which may be accompanied by nausea.
Kindly consult your ENT doctor. BPPV is easily manageable. Your doctor will advice some specific manaever, which will reduce your head spinning. Also kindly reduce the salt intake in the diet by then.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
