What Causes Dizziness And Nausea While Suffering From Diabetes?
Hello, my wife is a Type 2 Diabetic that does not take care of herself - poor diet, overweight, neglects her insulin severely. She recently experienced an issue on Tuesday Night at approx 11pm where she was groggy, unstable, heavily fatigued and slept for about 18 hours straight before somewhat waking up Wednesday at approx 4:30 PM. She had no recollection of the past 18 hours or how she began feeling the way she did. She had issues with memory retention and comprehension and continued to be very fatigued and at times incoherent. She continued to sleep the remainder of Wednesday and all day Thursday again with the same continued symptoms with the addition of dizziness and nausea. She has been under a lot of stress and lack and sleep over the previous 7-10 days. She thought she was drugged and I am wondering if this could have been brought on suddenly due to her diabetes?
Altered blood sugar level is strongly associated with CNS changes as narrated above.
In my opinion, there is combined issue of depression which should be addressed with her physician for strict sugar control, vital parameters management and other life style modifications.
