What Causes Dizziness And Nausea While Suffering From Low Iron Levels?

I have been having dizziness, nausea, and periods of feeling like I m going to faint for approximately 2 1/2 days. I thought it might be dehydration but I am trying to drink more water than usual. it comes and goes. i am on day 8 of my period (although it is just spotting at this point) but have been having right ovarian pain since yesterday (i have a hx of pcos and ibs-c). I do have low iron levels and did receive an iron iv infusion about 6 months ago.

Hi,

Abdominal pain is a symptom of PCOS. You can feel dizziness, vertigo, fatigue, lethargy due to anemia (you have h/o i.v iron infusion), please revisit ur doctor for anaemia profile and get anaemia managed by oral/i.v iron, folate or blood transfusion sos.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
