What Causes Dizziness And Nausea?

In the last two weeks, my daughter experienced dizziness and nausea. Today, it happened again. Some historie: She experienced the HELP syndrome fourteen years ago; anemia, needed blood transfusion, had hemmoraging from the nose and required steriods because her blood plalettes were diminished. No, not pregnant.
Could this be poor blood circulation???? Very concerned Mom!!!!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I have gone through the medical history of your daughter and feel sorry for the situation she is in.

Although you are saying that she is not pregnant, I want to make sure. Therefore, I advise to take pregnancy test if her periods have been delayed for 10 days.

Next, if no pregnancy, then, should rule out:
- anemia (perhaps she has had heavy periods recently)
- common viral infection
- oscillations in blood pressure and sugar levels (must measure them)
- stress/work overload

A blood work is needed to evaluate her health condition further and to rule out anemia or other blood problems.

All the best!
