Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For 2 days now I have been feeling off . When I am standing and/or walking I suddenly get dizzy and the entire left side of body feels numb and kind of throbbing all at the same time. This includes my tongue and left side of my face. Only last for a few seconds to a minute and then stops, then starts again within seconds or minutes, sometimes longer depending on what I am doing(if I am sitting/laying or standing/walking)
There are many reasons because of which dizziness and numbness in one side of the body can occur like stroke, transient ischemic attack(mini-stroke), migraine, and peripheral neuropathy. Most commonly these symptoms are seen in migraines especially "hemiplegic migraine" (migraine variant) in which one side of the body becomes weak and numb.
I suggest you to get a CT scan or an MRI done and visit a neurologist for further evaluation of your condition. Avoid doing chores which require attention like driving and working near moving machinery which may pose risk of injury.
Regards, Dr. Mohd Awais Ilyas
