Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
For the last few weeks I have experienced dizzy spells, mostly when sitting or driving. When I am active I do not have dizzy spells. I had no other symptoms until a few days ago when my upper right lip developed a twitch. Yesterday and today I have noticed some numbness in my lips, and still experience 4-5 dizzy spells per day when idle. No racing heart, headache, tingling limbs, shortness of breath or other symptoms. I am under a lot of stress with the tension in a deteriorating marriage. I have an appointment with my doctor for a physical in two weeks which was made before all these symptoms began.
I went through your details. "When I am active I do not have dizzy spells", it becomes very clear that you simply have anxiety and obsessive problems the moment your statement goes on like this. Anxiety can produce weird symptoms which do not have any medical reason and such a symptom repeats because the person obsess the symptom. Stop obsessing the symptom and ignore it.
