I have been relaxing in the bed for the last two days but Yhe pain in my upper back between the shoulders is not going away. It’s fine if I don’t use my arms much but the center hurts constantly.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Unfortunately pain from a soft tissue injury can increase by day 2 to 3 then plateau. It can last up to 2 weeks, rarely up the 6 weeks.
If the pain is severe, you should consider imaging to rule out any bony injury.

I hope this helps
