Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have asthma. Have had bronchitis recently, but cleared up (symptom-wise). Yesterday had one episode of lightheadedness. Last night and today have pain in upper back, left side, radiating (kind of warm) to chest. This morning had short episode of thudding in chest. I ve never had heart issues, but am overweight and have high cholesterol. 57 year old female.
As you have left sided radiating chest pain, it is better to investigate with EKG to rule out cardiac cause if present (you have high cholesterol so cardiac risk more). Check your blood pressure also.
If cardiac cause not present, then Auscultation and CBC should be done to check bronchoconstriction and infection. According to the cause, specific treatment can be given. Also, consult a pulmonologist for examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Parth Goswami
