Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My girlfriend is 18 years old and just recently(in the past few days) has been randomly getting dizzy and seeing black dots, as if she got up from sitting to quickly, but it happens even when not rapidly standing. She has an extremely poor diet and I'm wondering what might be the cause of this?
Having dizziness and seeing black dots are some signals her body is giving as reaction to extremely poor diet she is following.
I understand her worries to stay slim and beautiful; however, costing her own life is not acceptable.
She might be suffering of hypotension/hypoglycemia which are causing dizziness and black dots.
I advise her to: - have regular meals, do not skin any - eat often and small portions to prevent dizziness episodes - eat healthy - drink more pure water - avoid coffee/energetic drinks
If no improvement, she can go a pregnancy test to exclude possible pregnancy and blood work to exclude anemia.
All the best! Dr.Albana
