General & Family Physician, Dr. Varinder's Response
Hi,
As your pulse rate dips to 40, then you should undergo complete cardiac evaluation by ECG, blood pressure monitoring.
Some patients need a drug to raise heart rate and some need pacemakers.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Varinder Joshi,
General & Family Physician
